TapReply (“we”, “our”, or “the extension”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we handle, how we use it, and your control over your data when using the TapReply Chrome Extension.

TapReply does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

Personal user data (e.g., name, email)
Browsing history
Analytics or usage statistics
Any data to TapReply-owned servers

We do not operate any backend. All operations occur either locally or through third-party APIs.

2. What Data Is Handled

Although we do not collect or store data, TapReply may process:

Visible content of the current webpage (e.g., social media post text)
User-provided knowledgebase inputs (optional personal or business info, tone preferences, etc.)
Prompt customization settings

This data is used solely to generate AI-powered reply suggestions.

3. Where the Data Goes

All API requests are sent directly from your browser to third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI) over HTTPS.
TapReply does not intercept, log, or transmit this data to any other server.

4. Local Storage

User preferences and optional knowledgebase entries are stored via chrome.storage.local. This data:

Remains on your device
Is not transmitted to TapReply or any servers
Can be cleared by uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser data

TapReply:

Does not share any data with third parties
Does not retain user data
Does not use analytics, tracking, or cookies

6. Your Control

You may edit or delete your knowledgebase entries, clear local storage, or uninstall the extension at any time to remove all stored data.

7. Changes

If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
